Please read this entire page before contacting us with a query. It is designed to help answer many commonly asked questions about our theater and is most likely the quickest way for us to help you.
1. When does Third Coast Theater have live music?
We typically have shows once or twice per month.
2. When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for our shows typically go on sale between two and three months before the day of the show. We announce all concerts via our Facebook page , Instagram page, and email newsletter .
3. How can I buy tickets?
Pre-sale tickets can be purchased by clicking on your show of choice on our Tickets page. Tickets can also be purchased at the door if we did not sell out during pre-sale.
4. What type of proof of purchase do I need at the door?
Once you've purchased your tickets, your name is automatically added to our will call list. You do not need to bring proof of purchase to the show. You need only give your name and photo ID to claim your tickets. The person claiming the tickets must also be the purchaser.
5. What time do your doors open?
Doors open at 7pm and all shows start at 8pm. You are welcome to come in early, pick your seats, and enjoy a few drinks (BYOB) while you wait. Please do not try to enter before 7pm, as our artists may be in the middle of their soundcheck.
6. Where do I park?
Parking is available in the grass lot next to The Bier Haus on 11th Street. (DO NOT PARK IN THE BIER HAUSE PARKING LOT) From the grass lot, walk through the gate and outdoor courtyard to the theater. There is a sign that says "Third Coast Theater Parking" and a parking attendant will assist you with finding a spot.
7. Why can't I park in the Seashell Village parking lot?
The Seashell Village parking lot is available for hotel overnight guests only. Third Coast Theater guests with mobility issues are welcome to unload at the Third Coast Theater entrance before pulling around to the Third Coast Theater grass lot on 11th Street.
8. Where is your entrance?
The entrance to Third Coast Theater is located on the east side of the theater, accessible from the Seashell Village parking lot.
9. Do you have assigned seating?
No. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 7pm, giving guests one hour to arrive and choose their seats before the show starts at 8pm.
10. Do you have a bar?
No. Third Coast Theater is completely BYOB. You are welcome to bring your own beer, wine or other beverage. We do not provide cups, set ups, or water.
11. Can I bring food into the theater?
Food such as low odorous snacks, like nuts or crackers are permitted. We do not allow hot, smelly or messy food that will disturb that people around you, or is hard to clean in case of a spill, such as: pizza, sandwiches, etc.
11. Do you have a dress code?
Not really. You're on island time, so feel free to come casual. But shoes and shirt are required.
12. Are your concerts held indoors or outdoors?
All of our concerts are held indoors.
13. How long are the concerts?
All concerts start at 8pm and typically last 2 hours. There is time afterward to purchase merchandise from the artists.
14. Is smoking allowed in the theater?
Absolutely not.
15. Is there an age limit?
We do not have an age limit, however, we are a listening room. Think of it as movie theater rules when planning to bring your young children - just make sure they are of an age where they can sit still and listen to the music without disturbing the other guests.
16. How can I keep up with who is coming to Third Coast Theater?
Our website and Facebook pages and Instagram page are updated frequently with new shows, but the best way to keep up with everything going on at Third Coast Theater is to join our mailing list. Click here to sign up!
17. Can I get a refund on my tickets?
Third Coast Theater does not issue refunds unless we are forced to cancel a concert. (Reasons we may have to cancel: Severe weather, a performer is sick, or some other extenuating circumstance prevents an artist's travel, etc.)
18. I don't want to pay the credit card processing fee. Can I pay cash for my ticket?
You are welcome to pay cash for your ticket at the door on the night of the show, but you do assume the risk of the show selling out. All pre-sale tickets must be paid for via credit card.

20. Can I rent the theater space for a private event?
Yes! Third Coast Theater can be rented for weddings, showers, family reunions, business conferences, etc. Please contact our Seashell Village office for pricing and scheduling. You can email the office here. Or call them at 361-749-4294.
21. What are your Covid-19 health policies?
We are thrilled to bring live music back to Third Coast Theater In 2021. Masks and/or vaccine verifications are no longer required. Our seating is very close together, so please keep that in mind.
